Robert Kiyosaki says this will bring success to your life in 2015

It starts with education, especially financial education … so make 2015 the year you champion your life and take control.

Can’t find a job? Challenge yourself to create one for yourself.

Want to start generating passive income and building assets? Do it! Find a mentor. Start a blog or podcast. Write an e-book. License your killer salsa recipe. Or join a network marketing company. You’re smart and creative and talented … so use those talents, learn more about money and business and investing, and champion — and change — your life in 2015.

Change your mindset to secure your future

Americans can stop seeing themselves as victims of the job market, Obamacare fallout, economic downturns, and the uncertain future of programs like Social Security and Medicare..... and stop relying on someone else to ‘save’ them.

A shift in mindset and a decision to put your talents, your intelligence and your strengths to work will set you up to take control of your life and your financial future.

Starting business is frightening yet has unlimited unlimited possibilities

The biggest mistake people make is they want to get into business so they don't have to work hard. I've failed many times in my life. Failing is how you learn. In the real world the person who makes mistakes wins.

Procrastination is part of the process. Get inspired and man up.

Start business idea by solving a problem

The reality is that there is more opportunity now than ever with the web. makes everyone accessible to the masses.

You need to look at a problem people have and ask yourself, "How can I solve it ?" When I saw people not knowing about money I wrote Rich Dad Poor Dad. Everyone has a different skill set.

There are fewer and fewer jobs as technology replaces people. The worker is becoming obsolete. The rich don't want jobs – that's why they're rich.

Never want a pay check. The person who signs the check controls you.

How to know if you have enough Retirement money

To know how large of a savings 'nest-egg' you'll need, you'll need to know three things:
-How long will you live?
-How will inflation increase?
-What will the various markets do?
These answers are impossible to know. You are gambling with your future.

Cash Flow investing

If you change your definition of 'nest-egg' to mean a pile of cash-flowing assets, rather than cash, your problem is solved.

By purchasing and saving cash-flowing assets, you could build a pipeline of cash flow for life-a pipeline that would produce cash in good times and bad, in market booms and market crashes. Your cash flow would increase automatically with inflation and, at the same time, allow you to pay less in taxes. These means your standard of living does not have to decrease, but can actually increase.

You can earn cash flow from real estate rentals, stocks via dividends, from bonds via interest, or from oil, books, and patents via royalties.

In other words, there are many ways to stress free retirement freedom. All you have to do is change your definition of 'nest-egg' and you can survive at your current standard of living for as long as you live, whether you work or not. And you'll leave infinite money for your loved ones, too.

7 Stock Market tips from Robert Kiyosaki

1. Do Not Follow the Crowd. Buy the under-performing assets, not the popular assets

2. Personal Tragedy or Calamity. This is hard to do but great deals come from other peoples’ divorces, deaths, etc.

3. A Recession. During a recession everyone sells their assets at great bargains.

4. A Technical, Political or Cultural Change. Today, there are more structural, technical, political and cultural changes going on than ever before. Each change offers new opportunities to invest as well as lose money.

5. The 20-10-5 Cycle. This 20-10-5 cycle is not something to bet your financial future on It is primarily a reminder that markets move in cycles. However, by knowing this, you will tend not to get caught in the wrong cycle. One of the best ways to find good investments is to find investments that are currently out of favor but are soon due to come back into favor.

6. Have a Friend in the Business. One of the best ways to find great investments is to have business partners who are in the market every day. Kiyosaki says he finds great investments, because he pays brokers more than other investors do.

7. Pay More Money. All too often, people try and buy a good investment by being cheap, and then they lose the investment. It takes no intelligence to ask for a lower price to make a lowball offer. It takes creative intelligence to spot opportunities that others do not see.

Robert Kiyosaki feeling gloomy on long term financial markets

I foresee a global currency crash, like the one that ruined Germany in the 1920's, which will wipe out the poor and the middle class – as the rich get richer. People will see that money and shares are not real wealth, just paper, and the way to survive is by acquiring assets – like property, resources, gold and other precious metals.

Difference between average investor and successful investor

The average investor has not taken the time and effort to become financially educated.

A professional investor knows that markets boom and bust. The average investors turn their money over to someone else instead of learning to play your own game of money.

The power of “can’t”: The word “can’t” makes strong people weak.... blinds people who can see.... saddens happy people....  turns brave people into cowards.... robs a genius of their brilliance.... causes rich people to think poorly, and limits the achievements of that great person living inside us all.

I studied at the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point in New York prior to joining the Marine Corps. I knew I needed discipline-and the Merchant Marine Academy provided that. Kiyosaki: How rich get richer

Rich do not work for money. What the rich work for is acquisition of assets. Assets provide money. So every year I start more and more businesses, buy oil wells, so every year I get richer and richer whereas the poor and the middle class they want their pay check. Pay checks are taxed the highest.

Robert Kiyosaki library business as a young boy

Robert Kiyosaki on how he made money even when he was a kid

[My friend] Mike and I worked at a store for a couple weeks and noticed that the store manager would take the older comics, cut the covers in half, and give them to the distributor for a credit. This gave us an idea.

When the distributor came in to pick up the old comic books, we asked him if we could have them. Because we worked at the store, he said yes, but only if we didn't resell them.

Keeping our end of the bargain, we didn't sell them—we rented them out.

Using a spare room in Mike's basement, we stockpiled hundreds of free comic books, and each Saturday we opened our library from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to the kids in the neighborhood.

Admission was $0.10 a day, a steal since each book was $0.10 and you could read five or six in the two hours we were open.

As things got rolling, we averaged $9.40 per week—a lot more than the $0.30 we were making each week at the store. But we'd never have had the opportunity had we not worked there and had our eyes open to opportunity.

Find your business spirit to be wealthy beyond riches

Turning an idea into a great fortune is more a matter of the entrepreneurial spirit rather than a matter of the human mind. Once you find your entrepreneurial spirit, you will forever be able to take very ordinary ideas and turn them into extraordinary fortunes.

The reason the 90/10 rule (90 percent of money is made by 10 percent of people) holds true is that it does not take a great idea to become rich. You must be strong in spirit and in your convictions to turn your ideas into fortunes.

Why you shouldnt listen to people who say "you cant do that"

Rich dad gave me two reasons he thought people tended to say, “You can’t do that.”

1. They say, “You can’t do that,” (even if you are doing what they say you cannot do) not because you can’t do it, but because they can’t do it.

2. They say, “You can’t do that,” because they cannot see what you are doing.

Rich dad explained that the process of making money is more of a mental process than a physical process. Most people don’t have the mental capacity to see beyond their present circumstances and imagine what can be versus what is.

One of rich dad’s favorite quotes from Einstein was, “Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.”

Average investor vs Successful investor

Many people have great ideas, but only a few are able to turn them into assets that produce cash flow. The difference between an average investor and a successful one is the ability to turn ideas into millions of dollars.

While teaching me how to turn my ideas into assets, rich dad often said, “When you first set out to turn your ideas into your personal fortune, many people will say, ‘You can’t do that.’ Always remember that nothing kills your great ideas more than people with small ideas and limited imaginations.”

Kim Kiyosaki Quote for womens biggest crime

I see so many women who are trapped in miserable marriages because they are financially needy or dependent on their husbands or women who are in jobs they hate because they need that steady paycheck.

In my opinion they stay because they’ve chosen ‘security’ over ‘self-esteem.’ That to me is the biggest crime of all. - Kim Kiyosaki

Monopoly has the formula for getting rich

My rich dad did teach me to be a real estate investor playing monopoly.

Whereas my poor dad — the school teacher — said, “Put that silly monopoly game away, go back to school, get good grades and get job”.

And my rich dad would tell me, “Monopoly is…the formula for great wealth is found in monopoly”. And we all know the formula to play a great game — four green houses, 1 red hotel. And I’m like, “Is that all it takes?” And he says, “Yeah”. So the difference was my rich dad was actually playing monopoly in real life, so I would go with him — starting at the age of 9 — and I actually saw what looked like his ‘green houses’, they weren’t green but he says, “These are my green houses”.

Then by the time I was 19 — ten years later — my rich dad bought a major chunk of Waikiki Beach, he had the ‘red hotel’ right in the middle of Waikiki Beach. So in ten years I saw him go from nothing to one of the richest men in Hawaii.”

Dont let one battle destroy everything you own

Robert Kiyosaki speaks on the difficulties one of his companies faced fighting a lawsuit.

“It’s better to be a Rich Dad with a bankrupt corporation than to let [them] destroy you."

"In these desperate times, I am again learning how important corporations are to the rich and those planning on becoming rich… Now more than ever, if you have money, people will come after you. I am going through this right now… My rich dad played the game with intelligence and experience. He did it through corporations—the biggest secret of the rich.”

Robert Kiyosaki thanks Jayne Johnson

I wrote the business plan for Rich Dad, Poor Dad and my board game Cashflow at a two-day goal setting workshop with Jayne Johnson in January of 1996. Without Jayne’s goal setting technology, I doubt if Rich Dad, Poor Dad would have become as successful as it is today. That two-day work shop has made me millions of dollars, over and over again.

Take control of your life

A big part of my success in life today was taking control of my internal reality about money. I had to constantly remind myself that there is a world of too much money, because deep down inside I often felt like a poor person.

Why poor people remain poor

Rich dad pointed out to me that people with problems of not enough money often have those problems because they view the world as one of scarcity. All they know is a world where there is never enough.

Rich dad truly believed that the poor remained poor because that was the only world they knew. “Whatever your reality is about money inside of you will be the reality of money outside of you,” he said. “You cannot change your outside reality until you first change the way you view the world inside you.”

That is why when one suddenly becomes rich, such as winning the lottery or inheritance, they often squander that money and become poor again.

Take risks and dont be afraid

Rich dad would say:

· The more security you need in your life the more scarcity there is in your life. That is why people pass up on opportunities to make their money work for them through investments and business. They are too afraid to take a risk.

· The more competitive you are the more scarcity there is in your life. That is why people compete for jobs and promotions at work and compete for grades in school.

People who are creative, cooperative, and have good financial and business skills, on the other hand, often have lives of increasing financial abundance.

I could see this at play in my two dads. My poor dad always encouraged me to play it safe and seek security. My rich dad encouraged me to develop my skills and be creative.

Two types of money problem

My rich dad would say, “There are two kinds of money problems. Not enough money, and too much money. Which type of money problem do you want?”

Most people come from families where the problem is not enough money. One of the advantages I had growing up with the influence of two families was that I could see both types of problems. My poor dad never seemed to be able to have enough money, even though he had a good salary. My rich dad didn’t have much to begin with but grew his fortune to the point where he faced very real problems of having too much money.

Try to limit reliance on credit cards

The credit cards and grocery stores came later and our dependence on them is our weakness. Getting of our backside and growing our own food can keep us self--sufficient. Don't worry too much. We already grow our own vegetables and it costs very little. Invest in land and grow your own food. Its cheaper.we need to find a way to band together. these guys are basing their survival solely on the self. I hope other People survive too. Not just me. I think my odds are better that way. Who is going to sit in a pile of smoking ash counting their money?

Robert Kiyosaki on 3 types of investors

It’s easy to call yourself an investor. I’ve met people across the world that have claimed that they invest and are investors, but that doesn’t tell me much. Usually, I have to ask a few questions to find out what kind of investor they are. This is because there are investors, and then there are people who dabble in investing. Have you ever wondered why some investors make more money with a lot less risk than others? It’s because those people are a different kind of investor who bring a different type of mindset to the table.

To me there are three kinds of investors.

Type-C investors are financially uneducated and look for people to tell them what to invest in. People in the E and S quadrants have been forced into the investing game because of changes in retirement plans. They have little interest in investing in their education so they can become better investors. They know little-to-nothing when it comes to finances, which means they have to rely on the advice of other so-called experts.
What are the chances of a Type-C investor becoming financially free? About as much as winning the lottery.

Type-B investors seek answers. They often ask questions like:
What do you recommend I invest in?
Do you think I should buy real estate?
What stocks are good for me?
I talked to my broker, and he recommended I diversify. What do you think?
My parents gave me a few shares of stock. Should I sell them?
Type-B investors should interview several tax advisors, attorneys, stockbrokers, and real estate agents. They should find advisors who practice what they preach and run fast from anyone who is selling investment advice and getting rich on commissions and fees alone. Type-B investors should look for investment advisors who make money investing in the same investments they are selling.

I often find that many high-income employees and self-employed folks fall into the Type-B investor category because they are busy and have little time to look for investment opportunities.

Type-A investors look for problems. In particular, they look for problems caused by those who get into financial trouble. Investors who are good at solving problems expect to make 25 percent to infinite returns on their money. They have a strong financial foundation and possess the skills necessary to succeed as business owners and investors. They use those skills to solve problems caused by people who lack such skills.

For example, when I first started investing with only $18,000, I focused on small condominiums and houses that were in foreclosure because of problems created by investors who did not manage their cash flow well and ran out of money.

After a few years, I was still looking for problems, but this time, the numbers were bigger. Several years ago, I was working on acquiring a $30 million mining company in Peru. While the problem and numbers were bigger, the process was the same.

What type of investor are you?
For instance, I am a Type-C investor when it comes to mutual funds. When I’m asked, “What mutual funds do you recommend?” I reply, “I have no idea. I don’t like them.”

As a Type-B investor, I seek professional answers to my financial problems. I seek answers from my advisors, including tax and wealth strategists, stockbrokers, bankers, and real estate brokers. When you find good ones, these professionals provide a wealth of information many people do not personally have the time to acquire.

And as a Type-A investor, I find and solve problems that others cannot or do not want to solve, and I make a lot of money in return. I also may give my money to other Type-A in areas where I am not an expert but whom I trust.

Of course, becoming anything other than a Type-C investor takes a solid financial education and a network of individuals who can help you succeed. I encourage you to invest in building your financial IQ today and to start finding new relationships and partnerships that can help you grow financially.

Growing your money is exciting

Managing finances is fine, but the exciting part is growing them. A great way to involve kids in the family finances is to do a few investment projects together where you allow the kids to learn about an asset class and help you find a good opportunity in which to invest some money. A friend of mine helps his kids think through and start little micro businesses like finding golf balls and selling them back to the golfers in the clubhouse. These are great lessons for kids to learn to put entrepreneurial thinking into practice and to keep their eyes and their minds open to opportunities

Difference between Bad Debt and Good Debt

Bad debt is debt that is used for liabilities. Again, a liability is anything that takes money out of your pocket. Good debt is debt that is used to purchase assets, which puts money in your pocket. Those who struggle with debt do so because they often make poor financial decisions to purchase things they can't afford. They take on bad debt constantly.

My advice is to pay off your bad debt as quickly as possible and to never go into bad debt again. Instead, use your money to purchase assets rather than liabilities. Those assets will allow you to enjoy the finer things in life later on. Unfortunately, most people don't have the self-control or the patience for this.

Increase your financial knowledge

We're guessing with the enormous success of "Rich Dad" that you feel pretty financially secure. But what habits should everyone, from the most cash-strapped to the comfortable, get into in order to become or remain financially solvent?

The first step is to increase your financial intelligence through financial education. Read books, attend seminars, and build a network of smart financial friends and advisers.

Once you understand how money works and how you can make it work for you, you're well ahead of the majority of people.

On a very practical level, don't go into bad debt trying to live a lifestyle that you can't afford. Lots of people buy things like televisions, cars, clothes and vacations on credit, convincing themselves that they need these things. But those items are liabilities. They take money out of your pocket and don't put any money in. Instead, put financial education into action and start with small investments in assets that produce cash flow each month and build up your investments until the cash flow allows you to enjoy life's luxuries.

Change mindset to money

A lot of what we teach our kids about money has to do with a scarcity mentality. We say things like, "Live below your means" and "We can't afford that." Also, sometimes we teach our kids to look at money as bad, saying, "Money is the root of all evil."

The reality is that the correct quote is, "The love of money is the root of all evil." Ironically, I think the scarcity mentality of money is really the love of money. It's a fear of losing money that causes us to protect it so much and not take risks. The best way to talk about money with kids is to show them the world of opportunity before them and teach them that money is simply a tool for enjoying that world of opportunity.

Say things like, "Live above your means" and "How can we afford that?" Teach them to look for (and find!) opportunities where others see only obstacles. That is a change in mindset that allows them to not work for money, but instead have money work for them.
